Welcome to the Munroe ECEC Website

Deciding on child care for your child is a very personal decision. It is important to get all of the facts about a facility before you decide the program is right for your family.

We understand these concerns and we hope this site will help educate you about Munroe ECEC School Age Programs. We have included information about our programs, staff and facilities here for you to learn more about us.

Our Mission:

The Mission of Munroe ECEC School Age Programs is to provide a fun, safe, developmentally appropriate environment for school age children. To help enrich the care children receive, a positive home/child care/school/community relationship is encouraged in our Child Care Facility.

Our Vision:

To work together towards quality child care.

“The greatest thing in the world is not so much where we stand, but in which direction we are going.”

Our fully licensed and subsidized centres, located in Elmwood, offer quality care to children ages 6-12. The centres service over 100 children from Grades 1 through 6.

All centres are non-profit and run by Parent Boards of Directors.

Munroe ECEC has been providing quality child care for families in the Elmwood area for over 35 years.

All programs are managed and supervised by trained Early Childhood Educators, the majority of whom are Level II's and III's.

We offer a diverse range of exciting activities, including: sports, arts and crafts, cooking, indoor and outdoor games, field trips, free choice activities, special event days, daily homework periods and much, much more!

Children are provided a safe and respectful environment in which they are free to express themselves in a developmentally appropriate manner and where they are admired for their individuality.

All programs are open before and after school (children need to enroll in school lunch programs). Programs are also open most In Service Days* and Summer and Christmas breaks.
